Self-Correcting Technology™
Why it flies straight
Every golf ball spins, and a tilted spin axis is what bends a shot into a slice or a hook. The Ultimate Straight is shaped to level the spin axis for straight flight, so up to 75% of that curve never happens. Scroll to see how
Polara: flies straight, guaranteed.

01
One step: point the arrow
The arrow is the only instruction. Point it down your target line and the ball’s poles sit left and right of it. Every feature you’re about to see depends on that one small step
-
02
Straight lift, less curve
Dimples grab the air and lift a spinning ball. Tilt that spin with an open or closed clubface and the lift leans sideways: that’s your slice. Polara makes the dimples around the equator shallower, to help convert slicing side spin into straight backspin
-
03
Deep dimples at the poles
Both poles are ringed with deep dimples. Less material at these ends of the ball leaves more of its weight around the equator. That is what gives the ball a favorite way to spin
-
04
Small dimples on the spin axis
Between the deep dimples at each end of the spin axis sit rows of small ones. They provide slice and hook correction
-
05
Backspin stays backspin
A straight shot is pure backspin: the ball rotates vertically and flies straight down the fairway. Point the arrow at the target and that is the line this ball wants to follow
-
06
The cover does the steering
Everything you just saw is cut into this 0.073″ cover: the shallow band, the deep poles and the small dimples between them. Soft Surlyn® material for maximum distance
-
07
The core does the distance
1.535″ of soft, resilient polybutadiene for greater distance and better feel. Compression 85, soft enough to squash on a normal swing and spring the ball off the face. Two pieces, and the dimples do the rest

That’s 74% less curve. A fairway is about 40 yards wide. 80 ft of slice is in the rough. 21 ft is still in the fairway
